Begin and Finish a Quilt Learn to Quilt in this class designed for the beginner!

8 weeks 1^st Thursday of each month 6-8pm

Just eight easy two-hour classes, you will learn new quilters to successfully finish their first quilt.

Complete directions for a small quilt featuring two easy blocks that create a new, secondary pattern when combined. Two simple blocks add up to a lap or baby quilt that can be finish during class.

Build on skills learned in the Beginning Quilting by Machine class, introduce new techniques.. Although this class is designed to build on the techniques taught in the beginning class, it’s suitable for anyone comfortable with a rotary cutter and a 1/4” seam.

The techniques introduced in this class, which follow, are designed to be more challenging:

Flying Geese
Quarter-square triangles
Square in a square
Curved piecing
Setting blocks on point
Sashing
Cornerstones
Mitered borders

Beginner Sewing Class 101

Beginner Sewing Class 101 Starts Monday July 9th 5:30pm

This class is 6 weeks sessions and will be held the 2nd and 4th Monday of each week starting July 9th at 5:30pm – 7:30pm

This is a lecture demo class base off a book Beginner Sewing 101

You will learn modern-day primer on the basic skills and techniques of sewing. Topics include necessary tools and notions, using the sewing machine, purchasing fabric and supplies, pattern instructions, sewing terms, layout, cutting, marking, and using pressing equipment.

Vintage Rouge

Vintage Rouge will be our next block of the month running July 25th – December 26th Finished size: 78″ x 78″

Block of the month quilts are meant to challenge quilters to try something new. This quilt features a English Paper Piecing along with either hand or machine appliqué. However!!!! We will NOT do English Paper Piecing!!! We are doing this by Machine Embroidery Appliqué.

If you have an embroidery machine and have not done re-hooping, appliqué or quilting this is the class for you to learn all the futures your machine will allow you to do!

This classic red and green quilt was designed by Vicki Bellino of Bloom Creek Quilts using Vintage Rouge by Marcus Fabrics.
